City of Eutaw

The largest city in Greene County is Eutaw, which has direct access via two interstate exits. The city possesses a history of Civil war era homes, churches and buildings. The rich history provides a great opportunity to become a destination hub. The Greene County Historical Society sponsors an annual tour of these homes in October of each year.  The Society of Folk Art and Culture sponsors The Black Belt Folk Roots Festival annually, during the third weekend in August on the Historic Thomas E. Gilmore Square in downtown Eutaw. In addition, downtown Eutaw is the location of several antique shops.
